2:40 "Well i like to know what im doing when i do it and i do what im doing cause i dont know what to do n im not doing it" try to quote that if ya can sonny

Stan writes some of the best ballads I have ever heard. His way with lyrics and knowledge of music are on par with my favorites (Johnny Cash, Chris Christoferson etc.). If you are a typical American factory worker (I was for a long time), this song will either make you laugh or put a gun to your head but it's impossible to listen and not be moved.

best ever
Seriously, someone needs to remaster and reissue all of the Stan Ridgway era Wall of Voodoo catalog, either individually or in a box set. They were truly original and great. Thanks for posting this clip.

This was one of about 100 shows I saw at the 688 from about 79 till 85 or so. RIP one of the best alt music venues ever- CBGB's South! Iggy, Black Flag, Go Gos, New Order, REM (for $2!),tons of great locals like Arms Akimbo, The Roys, Current Rage, Heathen Girls, Restraints, Vietnam, Guadalcanal Diary, Nightporters. This city sucks ass now..
