@VinylToVideo, and I'd put you in the category of.....transposed stupids!

If you think so that's all that matters. I heard them both in house but not with each other, her top when older like here had lost some but she was a great Soprano, one of the best.

he is louder than her in this video. Also tucker and corelli drowned her every time

ALSO CHECK OUT HER DUET LIVE WITH MDM OF THIS AND THIS 1960 MET BRDCST FINAL DUET POSTED BY VINYLTOVIDEO WITH TUCKER FOR HER TOP IN BETTER SHAPE AND SUNG IN KEY, TUCKER WAS STRONG ON TOP WITH HER AS HE WAS IN THE 59 LESCAUT BRDCST FROM THE MET. DOMINGO HERE IS YOUNG 29 YEARS OLD SO I DON'T KNOW IF THEY SANG IT DOWN FOR HIM OR NOT BUT HE HAD A HIGH B IN 1970 SURELY. SHE SANG A HIGH B THIS YEAR WITH TUCKER IN THE MET. BRDCST OF BOHEME, JAN. 1970 (END OF ACT 1 DUET) PROBABLY JUST BEFORE THIS.

YOU CAN HEAR AT THE END ON THE LAST NOTE HER TOP IS NOT WHAT IT WAS OF COURSE BUT AS FAR AS VOLUME ON THAT LAST NOTE WHICH IS B FLAT HERE, SHE IS LOUDER THEN DOMINGO -- AT THE END ANYHOW JUDGING FROM THIS AND IT IS SUNG DOWN TO B FLAT BESIDES. I THINK IT USUALLY ENDS ON HIGH B NOT B FLAT, HER VERSION'S IN THE 50'S AND 1960 ARE BETTER --WITH TUCKER IN CHICAGO, 56, CONCERT AND A TV SHOW WITH ED SULLIVAN 1957 AND RT AND , ALSO HER MOVIE WITH CORELLI.

@VinylToVideo she doesn't drown him in fact he is louder than her
-
@kmillard I agree. She is at the end of her career, still terrific, and completely drowning him out as expected. He is at the beginning of his and transposing already. It was more forgivable when other tenors (not that I'd put Mingo in that category) transposed perhaps because they had voices worth listening to.

@jrhblack You're quite right that this series of performances contained the worst Tebaldi ever sang at the Met. They were the ones in late December when she was sick and, by rights, should have cancelled. At one of them, the audience screamed as usual after "La Mamma Morta", and Tebaldi, with tears in her eyes, shook her head back and forth, "No!" But the earlier performances of the run were fine.
Two great singer from two different generation.
