to all the jazz dudes, try de wes montgomery rendition of "stablemates". It's astonishing and with very cool scales. I have to recognize your version is incredible, very fast scales played with good sense and taste. Congratulations, you're a true master of jazz guitar, a real maestro.

I've watched your other tunes--good enough to make me want to hear the heads. I, for one, think the Venus de Milo would probably look better if the arms were still attached--unless of course she looked like that in real life poor girl.

Good point and nice analogy...

Great playing Dan. I like to refer to Stablemates as the thinking man's jazz tune, because you can't stop thinking the whole time you re soloing over the changes. Very nice.

Thanks! I find this tune very logical. I think it's just confusing because it's in Db. Once you analyze it in C, it becomes pretty easy to learn to hear the changes as they go by, and then you don't really need to think about it. Benny Golson is a genius composer and also one of my favorite players.
