Watch the launch and very first leg of the WalkTalk initiative which took place at Millennium Square on July 19th 2008 from where walkers and disabled people using wheelchairs, talked their way across the centre of Leeds to the South Leeds Gudwara in Beeston where the local Sikh community hosted the party of over 200 for a welcomed lunch break. People from all walks of life came together to share what they have in common, exchange views and increase their understanding of each other. The footage from the day provides an insight into why people feel it is so important to come together and celebrate similarities as well as differences.
What a wonderful thing. And great video. :)
Keep up the excellent work. :)
