Eating in Urgut Bazaar

We stopped off at the local cafe in Urgut and climbed into some Plov and Shashlik (how I miss shashlik). The food was great. We were worried we would get sick but in the end it was all good.

yeah urgut market is one of the boggest markets in Samarkaand province ... but bad quality ...hope enjoyed the plov and shashlik ...ps I'm from samarkand too !

Thanks for the comment - yes, that was our experience in Samarkand - many of the people were Tajik - it was interesting to see the diversity of cultures in Uzbekistan and we were amazed at how many languages people in Uzbekistan spoke - thanks for your comment.

Good. I'm Uzbek dude. Have you ever been in Samarkand city that's near Urgut? I'mfrom that city but most people speak in tadjiki so I'm half uzbek and half tajik :)
