Yes the song is incredibly beautiful :) But I am icelandic, and I can understand every single word, so I dont think his language is in this song..but if it said so in the interview...

@dianaellen7 If you look up the interview about this song, you will find that this song's lyrics are a combination of icelandic and a language created by jónsi. Either way, it's beautiful, elegant, and most of all, euphoric and inspirational.

The true magic of this song is that it tells a story. The story of the human race and our existence. The beginnings, the rise and fall, the triumphs and defeats and the end. God works in mysterious ways. Blessing this gifted band with the idea to write this heavenly song. Its too bad that the human race had to wait until 2005 to hear the song that wud define our existence so beautifully.

@fluffybunnyshoez i listen to sigur ros at work and everyone says how shit it is because you dnt know what they are singing about , every time i tell them the beauity of there music is you can relate to every song, because you can deside for yourself what the song is about, to some people this song ( hoppopolla) might make them cry bring back sad memorys , and to some like me it puts the bigst smile on my face no other band in the world can do that with every song on every album simply amazing !

obviously they are not in engilsh, there was someone talking about the lyrics being only made-up words, and I was saying that they are not made up, but icelandic. ..and I know my spelling is probably very bad, english is not my first language, but I am learning ;)
