well, China holds almost all of USA's depts if USA declares war, (very unlikely) China would liquidate all the money and the American greenback which is weak already would be worth less than dirt. Not to mention also that China is in the SCO, Russia is its ally and Russia has the largest gas & oil reserve plus the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons.

No, the rise of communism is inevitable because of years of warfare. Communism thrives when there is poverty.
The point is Taiwan itself will never ever be an independent country. So be satisfy with "Republic of China".

cuz Taiwan invests in HK and Shanghai like FUCKING CRAZY, and if we have war, China and Taiwan would like...collapse....and start WW3 cuz Japan, USA and Europe and Korea would get involved.

haha! well i LOVE Japanese people and i have more japanese friends then mainland China, but i still see myself as Taiwanese, and my japanese friends like it that way!
But your right, lots want to be Japanese, but im kind of biased because i lived with Japanese people..................

that last "voice" was interesting... if US stops selling weapons to TW, then how will TW defend itself? Yes, the money that US is profiting from could go to a better cause, especially with the current financial crisis, but one should not make oneself defenseless and be at the mercy of others. IF the other countries guarantee that they will not invade TW, then, by all mean, TW should decrease the purchase. HOWEVER, is this assumption of no future invasion realistic?
