Phoenix Film Festival Intro Sequence

This is the intro sequence for the Phoenix Film Festival for 2009. My roommate Frankie Mendoza and I created the spot for the Phoenix Film Foundation. The goal of the project was to display this years theme of dark superheroes and to display all the major partners involved in the Festival. I did the Character Animation, Modeling, Rigging, and lighting, while my roommate created the backgrounds, animated them, and composited the various renders.

I think my favorite part is when he lands and the ground breaks.. and all of the debris goes flying everywhere! I guess you could call this "Groundbreaking"!!!

Thanks Jen. It is funny you say that, I learned so much on this project. It really was sorta groundbreaking for me as far as techniques go. I had to learn so much stuff to get the effect we were going for. It is always a good feeling when you do the research, and take the time to do something right, and then it comes out pretty good. As usual though I think I will always have my own complaints. Anyway, thanks Jen.
