These Egyptians delegates were in Vermont from July 14-20, 2011, on a program entitled Science Education in the U.S. The purpose of this program was for these delegates to gain a perspective on how science education is taught and implemented here in America; and to also learn about Vermont's ecosystem, environment, and culture.
In the clips shown here, Burr Morse, the proprietor of Morse Farm Sugarworks and one of the state's folk icons, visits with the Egyptian visitors and explains the process of producing maple syrup. Not only did this appointment give the delegates a real taste of Vermont culture, but also gave them background into the science of farming maple syrup.. Thanks again to Burr and the rest of the staff for welcoming our visitors and sharing one of Vermont's finest traditions with us.
