My Friend Kurdish is a seperate language from farsi, kurds have different history and culture .. kurdish and farsi are close but so are all the languages in that region .. just because it is close it doesnt make kurds iranians .. arabic and farsi have similarities, do we kurds class u as arabs?? do we class Arabs as Fars?? No .. exactly :)
