Watch how dual-path front-wheel drive holds a John Deere G Series motor grader on line when working across a steep bank. Demonstrated for Construction Equipment at Deere's Sacaton, AZ, demo site Tuesday, 3/3/2009.
@anewbeggining21 I agree with ya totally, and no Cat is not the Real machine!,,,,the champions still were the best, they were so far ahead of everyone else till today and now they are the nice Volvos,,,,,and I just did a demo on a new John deere(with the old style controls) and it was the biggest piece of crap,,,,whoever designed it never run a grader before. And no u can't kill a Champion grader, I have tortured many of them and they just kept on going with no problems.
theres not such thing as a BAD motorgrader.......unless it doesn't run. I have a 1948 CAT that u have to pull start..... A REAL operater can made a days work on a piece o machine..... 200k machine are a D-1 ( d-1 u got is d-1 u use)
And what is a REAL MACHINE? A Caterpillar? I have not run a grader at all. I but I have done some research. I based my opinion off the fact that around here in Southern Ontario Canada you see tons and tons of old Champion graders of the early 1970's vintage (the D series) working today. Most of them r used to plow snow but some are still used to grade and are in construction fleets that are mainly new Deere and Cat. But the operator said you can't kill the old Champs. Everyone has an opinion!
my dad was an owner operator in az. and owned a 672B deere. his 6 wheel drive blade was great and thats all he liked running. i never ran this model but im sure its great just by the front wheel slope demonstration. true: cat makes 6 wheel drive blades but they cost a lot more than the deere. also, they have the M series which i dont care to learn but i just saw the deere's new style of levers and i like that much better. too be honest, i cant wait to get out of this industry. not fun anymore.
yea were i work they just took delivery of a jhon deer 770g/gp and havin the steering control at your finger tips makes it a hole lot easyer to oprate and every thing at your finger tips is just great puts th cat m s to shame thats for shore
