Where do they do this? About how long before the game do this? and is it open to public to watch them?

No one can really go in -- but you can often stand at the big open doorway and watch from there. There are usually a few band families doing this. It's possible that they might shut the door, then everyone is out of luck!

This is the Saturday morning rehearsal in Loftus (across the street and down a bit from the band building) -- an indoor football field. You can watch the band step off from the band building on gamedays (around 8:30 a.m. -- but it varies) and march around "Stonehenge" by the North Quad, then over to Loftus. A large door is left open at which spectators (mostly band parents/families) can watch -- but you can't go into the building, generally.
