@SteveHarpster I haven't gotten any word back from the Property Owners Ass. yet, so the greenhouse is still just in the think'n-about-it stage. Even if I don't get one, I'm still looking forward to a bigger harvest than in the past.

@learnsomethinguseful Crazy isn't it. I'm on top of a mountain, and an hour's drive from anything you might rightly call a city. The POA rules, or tries to. Any buildings they lay claim to giving permission to put up.

@Thesmalltowngardener Planning for the garden, even just talking and hearing about it, is a good way to help get past January and February.

Thanks Kent! That was a great video. I will be setting up some raised beds this year and I will be sure to give a bit more space between them. I think your idea for your new beds and making your current raised beds deeper is fantastic and it will be good to see how that goes through the year. The best is the deer garden. Should be an interesting year and thank you so much (again) for sharing. Curious...are those the same gorgeous onions you planted last year? What kind are they? Have a good day

@JaxRL Hi Jackie
Yes, those are the onions I planted in the fall, and same with the spinach. The onions will be ready to eat just as soon as the ground thaws out enough to pull them up. The spinach will really start taking off the first few days of warm weather and by the time my first lettuce is sprouting I"ll probably have the spinach all eaten up. Not sure what kind of onions they are. I just but sets at the local farmers shop late in the fall.
