Tallahassee, FL (WTXL)-- A day after President Obama spoke to the American Medical Association, local residents and medical professionals are weighing in what they think.
Overall, those we spoke with June 16th said there is a need for some type of health care reform. President Obama specified the need for an "overhaul of the ailing health care system." Medical professionals agreed with the president stating they would like to spend more time with patients and less time with paper work.
And although doctors agree health care should be available to everyone, they're not sure if a socialized type of organization run by the government is the answer. But they do agree something needs to be done.
Doctors would rather treat a paient for free then deal with medicare.
