Episode 6
-----------------------With Kevin and Ally----------------
[They were walking side by side down the shallow end of the wave pool. Ally's bathing suit glimmered in the sunlight as the waves from the wave pool gently brushed her feet. It was quiet until they sat down at Kevin, Joe, and Nick's lounge area. Ally sat down on the chair while Kevin dried off a little with his towel.]
Kevin: so. Do you have any hobbies?
Ally: not really. I've tried a few different things but I haven't found anything that I really enjoy doing yet. What about you?
Kevin: Music? Movies?The usual.
Ally: oh, We just moved in around the corner and our parents bought us a flat screen T.V. you could come over sometime. I mean? you and your brothers could come over? and you know? watch a movie or something.
Ally: [thinking: Why am I so nervous? He?s just another guy. Why can't I talk right?! Ugh! I must sound so retarded.]
Kevin: yeah. That would be cool! My dad makes the best hot dogs ever. We could bring some over! [he smiles]
Ally: [thinking: what a great smile!=] ] Yea!
Kevin: hey, that ride looks really cool. [looks back to Ally] wanna go?
Ally: sure!
[they took off in the direction of the ride Kevin picked out. The ride was called Dark Abyss. It was just that! A thrilling water slide through a black tube with no lights. Kevin reached the ride entrance first and pulled the employee working the entrance aside. He whispered something to the guy and the guy let him and Ally through a back entrance to the ride with no wait at all.]
Ally: what was that all about?
Kevin: I uhhh? have a special pass? it lets me through with no wait.
Ally: oh. Cool! =]
Kevin: yeah. [thinking: actually, I'm a famous singer and guitar player in a band with my brothers. We are going on tour soon and I won't see you for about a year.]
[He wanted to tell her everything, but he liked to be treated like a normal teenage guy. He was afraid that even though they acted as though the had known each other forever, He couldn't blow his cover. Not now anyways. They reached the top of the ride.]
Employee: hello! [in an over enthusiastic voice.] We will put you on the ride in just one second. [he looked from Kevin to Ally] Are you together?
Kevin: this is my friend. she can go first.
Employee: oh. I'm sorry but we only have double rider tubes available right now. All of our singles are being repaired this weekend.
Kevin: [looks at Ally]
Ally: Do you still want to go?
Kevin: Do you?
Ally: I don't care. I'm up for it if you are.
Kevin: [looks at employee] We'll ride.
Employee: ok. Here is a double rider tube. [handing one over to Kevin] you're the tallest, so you will sit in the back. [Kevin sat against the back of the tube. Ally sat down next. The employee instructed her to sit down in between Kevin's legs, her hands grasping the handles. They were sitting upright and the employee pushed them into the darkness of the ride. They reached the first of many plummets in the dark wet tubes and Ally's hand slipped off of the handle. She was tipping over when Kevin grabbed her hand. She clung on as they plummeted down the endless twisting of the darkened tubes. They were having so much fun, they completely forgot the uncomfortableness that they had felt just moments ago. They finally ended in a pool where the tube flipped forcing them both out of it. Out of the corner of her eye, Ally noticed a larger man watching the two of them as they came down the slide and walked away. She brushed off the awkward feeling and climbed out of the pool. They were still laughing as they walked away.]
Ally: that was fun!
Kevin: yeah! Do you want to go again?
Ally: [still laughing] sure.
[They skipped over to the back entrance, climbed the never ending staircase and sat in another raft tube. This time though, Kevin wrapped his arms around Ally's waist to hold her in.]
Ally: what are you doing? [giggling]
Kevin: well, seeing as how you are the only one with handles here, I need something to hold onto so I don't fall out.
[a large smile danced across his face. Ally turned her head to face the black tubes as they were once again pushed down into the tubes.]
