Wow...This was a great show!!! I plan to upload more of this mini concert in the coming days!!! Darek has chosen to find unique player's in Japan and show them "The Feel", that he has acquired throughout his life from various teachers and artists! Kudo's to him for this honorable quest. (smile) This show had a drummer from Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan who is only 14 Years Old!!!!! His name is "Riku Taira", & MAN...this kid has an UNBELIEVABLE GROOVE for his age!!!!!!
On sax...is a lady named Ayumi Unno who Darek states has studied with his longtime friend Hidefumi Toki. He says that this girl has an extremely unique sound of her own and is also up and coming.
On keyboards is a guy named Tomoharu Hani...I remember that he played with Darek in Japan 26years ago with Ueda Masaki and a slew of other artists...this guy is no joke either!!! Hahahahaha...
On percussion is Daisuke Iwahara...a talented and creative percussionist that incorporates "Indian" style percussion! I love the fact that he uses the Jimbe (*bells rapped around his legs) and other odd instruments.
On Guitar is Nishiyama (Hank) Fumio, who Darek has known for over 30years and is also a creative and wonderful songwriter!!!
