The American version of Initial D does suck. But I'm just glad that the netflix Inidtial D version, the characters actually calls the people by their names like Takumi and Itsuki. and not Tak or Cole which is just stupid how they changed their names... But I love the Japanese version, much better.

@kregzdeM3 Actually there are two American versions. People prefer the Funimation version because they don't call Takumi "Tak", Itsuki "Iggy", Keisuke "K.T." etc. AND Funimation kept the original Eurobeat in the race scenes. But some others like the Tokyopop version because of the voice acting, but the ridiculous nicknames and the Eurobeat being replaced by Hip-Hop ruin it.
