CQB City Airsoft 8-15-09 with Night Vision!

CQB City Airsoft night ops with a little bit of Night Vision. A player there brought his night vision goggles so I handed him the camera about half way through the video and he recorded a bit. Enjoy!

To me.... tracers seem pretty pointless, the flashing light gives away your position, the glowing stream of bbs gives away your position, and it is pretty unnecessary since every shooter should know how well his or her gun works, and they should have their gun set up so wherever they shoot is where the bb goes, so it doesn't seem like it would have any value aside from "ooh, tracers"

anyone have a different opinion? Anyone agree?

@thinkbeforespeaking Use them before you make a decision on how useful they are. I personally love using tracer units. The biggest upside is shooting at cheaters. They can't deny it when you can see glowing bright BBs flying off their chest.

Also, if tracers were useless they wouldn't use them in real life right?

@thinkbeforespeaking They Just Offer A Cool Factor And Like You Said They show where your bbs are going and to really give away that someone got hit. But All In All It's Just A Cool Thing To have

@thinkbeforespeaking I agree...kind of. But since I will most likely be running PVS-14s soon, I can see myslef running tracers for 2 reasons.

1. ITS COOL

2. Theyre already outgunned, might as well go ahead and let them know where they got raped from.

@thinkbeforespeaking i agree with you except that if you play with dishonest people they normally wont call their hits in the dark thinking that nobody will have seen where there shot went but if you play with people who respect the game then yeah tracers are pointless but still fun as hell to watch

Tracers give you the ability to have your team mates land their shots exactly on the enemy if you can see them because you have NVG's and your team mates do not. Also you can cause a real distraction to the enemy if tracer guys alone go and flank whilst the rest of your team sneak through the front

@thinkbeforespeaking friendlies see where the hostiles are, you see where you're shooting (helpful at long ranges)also when performing and ambush it's intimidating when they see the amount of stuff flying towards them and the "ooh tracers" effect ofc...
