  • thanks all for your comments.. its nice to read comments from people in hawaii.. even though we essentially stayed in the tourist mecca of Waikiki.. it was a really relaxing and enjoyable time for us - even though we slept on an air mattress..

more to come from the other states we went to when i have time to edit them.. cheers..

  • I love Hawaii, just got back from my most recent visit last month and I'm already planning my next. Hawaiian Islands are a great place and only a 5 hour flight away.

  • Beautiful video and lovely photos. Cain...such a wonderful talent :)

  • What a lovely place. The toilet door sign made me laugh - the guy had a hawaiian shirt on lol. Watching a sunset seemed so cliched but it really is the most beautiful thing in the world. glad you enjoyed yourself Cain. :-)

  • :] i live on the big island of hawai'i

i wish i lived in oahu darnnn

    lol

  • love the pics - wish I was there -

  • you didnt see the blonde guy playing a ukulele? i believe he had a plastic bag from an ABC store..

but yes.. the ABC stores were our main source of beer.. and fruit.. and change exchange..

  • Yep. Im native Hawaiian. I would say taro tastes a little bland, but it definitely has a unique flavor. and like you say... an acquired taste that you get if you grew up eating it.

  • i guess that "poi" is an acquired taste for tourists..as a tourist, Hawaii was like paradise, beautiful islands, lovd laying on Wakiki(sp) beach and looking off to see Diamond Head..are you native Hawaiian??

  • So, You've eaten wall paper paste? Poi, or mashed taro root tastes great. It's got a slight sweetness, but people who are accustomed to foods with lots of salt, fat and sugar, definitely wouldn't like it. I grew up eating poi, and my mouth waters for it. As for wall paper paste... i'm not sure anyone has ever eaten that.
