A Light for Child Care

On May 19th, 2009 student parents at Hunter college were informed that the college administration was going to take a way a room from the child care center. To prevent futher cuts, under the leadership of Luz Schreiber, student parents organized and began a campaign to challenge the administration's decision. They found support to their cause from public officials, fellow students and numerous organizations, yet the administration was not willing to reconsider their decision. As a last resort, student parents took their case to the New York Supreme Court where they confronted Hunter College and the City University of New York.
This Documentary profiles Luz's activism and her life.
