@RomanNies Hi Roman. Sorry about that!! Surprisingly, most people forgive me my Aussie English (except in England!) but usually they do not really need a translation - perhaps I should get out my tatty old school books and try to overlay the audio track in, say, French, German, Dutch and Spanish (like I used to do when making 16mm optical-sound-on-film docos in the 1960s) but most listeners today would then be in REAL trouble! So - maybe you can find an Oz to English interpreter somewhere?

@nleeder. Hi Roman. Thanks for your further comment. Please be assured that I was not in any way offended by your first - my equally light hearted response then was very much tongue in cheek!!

This is actually the Taku glacier. The mendenhall glacier is in northern Juneau.

Hi Wackiguys. The heliport manager (who has seen the video) AND the helicopter pilot assured me that the glacier I photographed - the same one we landed on and the one we flew over twice is DEFINITELY the Mendenhall Glacier. He has been flying to it with passengers from Juneau for more than seven years - daily in summer weather permitting! Maybe your name is not the correct one? Whatever - it was magnificent!!! I also heard that a glacier known as Taku does lie north of Juneau.

Hi Wackyguys. Well, if you are a resident of Juneau, I guess the info given me by the helicopter pilot and the heliport manager was wrong - they both insisted that the glacier I photographed WAS the Mendenhall Glacier. Maybe, this is the spin they give the tourist but, whatever its name, the superb glacier I visited is wonfderful but a bit sad that it is retreatring so fast with global warming now the inevitable glacier killer. So - you lucky residents of Juneau, enjoy what you have for now!
