中学校時代に陸上競技をやっていましたが、その当時美しい走り方
の見本がヘンリーカーでした。ボブ・ヘイズはパワーで走る感じで すが、カーはフォームで走る感じですね。 すばらしいです。

Well I also know Henry Carr to this day and he lived in Georgia until recently moved to Florida. He is such an awesome guy!

I know henry Carr and he still looks good til this day. Doesn't even look like he's aged @ all. He always says he'll beat me in a race ........I'm kinda scared to race him now. Lol

Your uncle who was third was Edwin Roberts a great athlete. He frequently ran the 100 & 400 metres as well with world class times. He was a member of the 4 x 400 metres T&T team that won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Jamaica breaking the World Record. He often stopped to speak with me in St. James on his way from training. I was the best junior athlete in the country at that time and clocked 10.2 sec for 100 metres at age 15 and was never beaten.

@LVSWTZ
Yes you heard right, but in 1960 "negro" in Italy was like "nero" (black) today, it wasn't offensive.
In Spain "negro" still means "black" today. Don't worry
