Tom Townsend had written a song about loss, having no idea where the inspiration came from. Then on Valentine's Day 2010, his son died in a car crash at the age of 21. He immediately understood what the song is about. Here, singer Karen Fulks performs the song with Tom at Jazz at The Bistro in St. Louis, Missouri, 7 months later.

  • Tom, she done your lyrics proud. And your piano work was moving, especially when you got into the groovy blues licks. It must have been an emotional roller coaster for you, performing live at the Bistro, Miles looking over your shoulder, so much meaning in it all. Only thing I would have liked is the camera set up higher so I could have seen you. It's a fitting tribute in your own language.

  • Wonderful and moving. Thanks Tom aand Karen for posting.
