The store bought Wall-e's don't cut it when you're looking for the real thing. I purchased a toy and added my own servos, sensors and brain.
The programming uses 2D enviromental array for knowing his surroundings, which prevents him from getting stuck.
His personality animates his character and he seems somewhat lifelike.
His sensors interact and sometimes run from humans.. Othertimes he seeks company. It all depends on his mood.
He's my pet and friend :)
The end of the video lists the components I used. The programming was done in Pic CCS's PCW. And it's about 1,000 lines of code.

Can you buy a big wall e toy? I would like the make a wall e PC case. Of course it would not move like the one in the video.
I would only have the head move and tilt but would be coll if it did that and said wall e when it starts up. Which of course you could simply do with the OS of the computer.
