@flyzerogravity In 1945 a B 25 flew in to the Empire State Building. The whole it punched out was smaller than the airplane. But entirely in keeping with its mass and size. The ESB is a masonry fortress in comparison to the WTC which is a VERY light structure. The Pentagon is made in the same style as the ESB and similar time.

The whole punched by the plane is entirely in keeping with its mass and size. The wings folded on impact and the heaviest portion punched through.
