Since the growing minority becomes enlightened, the majority must ridicule them. Its understandable....this thing was hatched in the 1600's and quite difficult to believe it is interpreted through symbols. the esoteric acknowledge it, while the exoteric is more widely accepted. In a technological age, of course people will scoff.
