Jesus was not a passivist- he was a human- The WORD made flesh...Human flesh. and all the traits that go with that....like anger, punishment, knowledge of how lies and betrayal work....not a freak god who was not human...hence the enormity of his sacrifice and example. Yes freedom is evil but if all evil people (non Christians) were destroyed there would be no entertainment : ) Freedom will only kill our Children unless people learn to put equality before religion, responsibility before the false freedom of the strong and loud mouth men who stomp on the meak and then freedom within their own kingdom.
