Wynonna was going through many personal struggles during this time, and this song was an outlet for her to express herself. Apparently you arent familiar with the context of this performance.

I like this version better. You can hear it in her voice the raw emotion she's feeling as she's singing. Foreigner's version is good but Wynonna's emotional deliverance is deep & profound. I get choked each time I hear it.
