electronic drums WILL sound like cardboard unless plugged into an amp lol. chances are he wouldnt plug them in to play rockband...

Lol these guys are being assholes about it, but I have a real question about why you're playing on medium. Why are you playing on medium if you have an electronic set, what I mean is, why do you have an electronic set if you can't even play harder difficulties on a game?

This was posted a week after the game released. I hadn't played drums in years. I picked up the electronic set used in order to do this mod and was just getting back into it, plus I was nervous and the video was supposed to show off the mod, not my drumming. :)
I have played through the game on expert at this point.

I posted this a few days after Rock Band shipped. I play on expert now, I just haven't bothered to create a new video since there are tons of products on the market that let you do this now.

Not an expert here, but couldn't someone just get the Kickbox/J5 and still be able to use their e-kit while playing rockband?

Yes. You don't seem to have noticed that I posted this on 12-09-2007, days after Rock Band shipped. Those products were not out when I did this.
