Video Memoir - Jean Cortes (part 2/2)

Part 2 of the video memoir for Mrs. Jean Cortes (1953-2010). This video was made for her retirement party as a way for her to say "thank you" to her friends, family, and colleagues.

Mrs. Cortes was my best friend's mother. I've known Anthony since we were in kindergarten, so Mrs. Cortes was always my "second mom." She was a loving, passionate, strong-willed woman who lived an extraordinary life dedicated to teaching and inspiring her students. She was always trying to get young people to open their eyes to the world around them.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Cortes passed away due to complications from thymic cancer in October of 2010. She had been battling the disease for almost five years. Her love touched countless lives, and everyone who knew her misses her very much.
