http://www.otj.com Winrock International paired with OTJ Architects to design a sustainable office suite in line with Winrock's environmentally conscious philosophy. OTJ implemented green methods and LEED regulations to create an enjoyable and healthy work environment.

Speaker: At Winrock International, their goal is to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunities, and sustain natural resources led for their relocation to Crystal City enabling their building to reflect their environmental concerns. Their new location provides greater resources of communal transportation as well as opportunities for outside social events.

Inside, OTJ enabled Winrock to actualize their goal of a green sustainable office making it on track to be LEED Silver accredited. OTJ focused on low VOC to ensure the healthiest working environment while implementing the new sustainable methods throughout the design. The use of varying spaces and sizes, centralized pantry and several areas for reflection all provide greater formal and informal collaboration.

Through OTJ's expertise of the sustainable methods and LEED qualification, Winrock customized their office to directly fulfill their desire to reduce exposure to toxic materials, provide access to natural light, and ultimately reduce their carbon footprint. OTJ was able to divert more than 78% of pre-and-post construction waste from landfills and reduce lighting power consumption to 15% of a typical office space. The use of bamboo veneering, linoleum flooring and cork services and [meetly] implement renewable content.

With the help of OTJ, Winrock offices adapted to both realistic construction and their green vision.
