Whenever I watch some movie or read some book again, I think of all the people that die in it as already doomed from the start. When I watch or read Harry Potter, the characters are so alive that I don't remember that they will actually die at some point.

The thing is Dobby was cut out from most of the movies, and Neville did all the stuff Dobby should've done. Movie: Neville discovered the Room of Requirement. Book: Dobby Discovered the room of requirement to aid Winky. Movie: Neville gave Harry the Gillyweed. Book: Dobby gave the Gillyweed in the last minute before harry had to perform.

@AkasukiKain4545 but Hedwig was his lifelong friend. It was his first gift from Hagrid. Hedwig comforted Harry when all was lost. And Hedwig transferred letters to Sirius, too. Hedwig deserves sorrow and love.

You have to remember though, a lot of stuff was dumped on harrys plate right after that and some of his friends either died or got injured, its understandable he would worry more about them
