  • @Vostrau1 When I was a boy I was taught to dislike Jews and to treat them as if they were lepers. But then I was able to attend a state university by working many different jobs...some of them for Jews. I was treated with dignity and respect even though I was only 19 or 20. I earned the trust of my Jewish boss and in return he trusted me with his brand new Pontiac GTO for fun days in LA with my friends. Jews have always been kind to me, a Christian. Anti-semitism is shameful.

  • I am Roman Catholic, and my father taught me that they are GODS chosen people. Anyway this song will live in my heart no matter what I am because of it meaning and it melody.

  • the start reminds me of the trollolol song.

  • @djdannyv1 ... I was raised Catholic and am til the day I die. Never once did I hear a bad word against anyone. People who are anti-Catholic abound and Vostrau seems to have a grude. Just saying the truth.

  • a moment in a timeless classic....wonderful....beautiful ..used 2 watch this movie with my mum..im 46 now..mum still loves this song too...xxx

  • Ver a Larry Parks y escuchar a Al Jolson es algo estupendo, magnifico. Mi padre de muy joven me llevo a ver esta película y que de atarpado para siempre de la vox de este cantante espectacular.

  • Just absolutely fantastic - using today's technology - to be able to re-live and experience true talent all of those decades ago. Long live the memory of Al Jolson and his legacy of great music.

  • Al Jolson came to Korea during the war even after his doctor told him it could kill him. He went anyway and I was to far away to get to see him. He passed away soon after returning to the United States. A great human being, a great singer and showman and he loved this country and the servicemen & women.

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It gives me chills to think of my parents dancing to this song. This week end will be my brother and sister-in-law's 50th wedding anniversary and I have arranged for a dear friend to sing this song for them.

  • I enjoy watching Al Jolson and his singing is out of this world, the great singers like him and Luciano Pavarotti, Maril Lanza etc have a better passion for songs as todays songs have no feelings or passions and the lyrics are crap. If these guys like AlJolson etc were alive today they would be very disappointed.
