  • This clip misses the out takes when the starting gate only came up on one side and strangled the riders. I remember riding in matches against Finchley, Wormwood Scrubs and Cufley. My mother was born in Montague Road in 1906 and her sister Elsie Lincoln, nee Crawford lived in the same house till at least the 1960's.

  • We had a nice bit of music to play us in " Oh When The Saints go Marching in". Someone used bring a portable Gramophone to play us out of the p

    addock.

  • Great to see this. Bought back a lot of memories. I rode for The Saints in the 1950's. Not very successfully. I think I was nu

mber 7 in the reserve team. :-)

  • i currently race for the hellingly lions, i am captain for the under18's team at the lower dicker track.

  • My father , David Keay (16 years old!) leading the Saints home

  • that track is still there.
