Nissan VK56 5.6 Litre used in the Titan truck in Kurt's new offroad car. First dyno run on stock motor except JWT C8 cams, ITB. Throttles, headers, and a control system also from Jim Wolf Technology. Dyno is on 91 octane. Next step JWT C9 cams and 13:1 compression.

  • well im thinking put it back in a titan and see whatsup with the numbers????

2004 le king cab, stillen supercharged, i had itbs before i went stillen but i sold them custom made them myself. Greddy is comin out with a titan supercharger also

  • The idea was to have enough beans to pull 100mph+ in the washes and still run on 93octane. The biggest cork in a stock VK56 are the tiny cams and long intake runners tuned to low end torque. The stock VK cams are smaller than the Altima VQ35 cams, even with the VK having 20% larger disp/cyl.! C2 cams are popular in Titan trucks and C8 or C9 for race built (Chris Forsbergs VK powered 350Z runs a modified C8), Fully built out, they make pretty nice CORE or off-shore race engines.

  • Hi Kurt, I'm building a twin turbo VK56 dragster at the moment and was wondering if I can e-mail you about where to get some of the parts I see on your buggy, if you search some video's under my name you'll see I'm not a time waster, thanks Robbie.

  • hmm nice nice... but twin turbos would really give ya some kick :P

  • I didn't see that one on their site, but how much power can a z34 trans hold? I need something with really high potential like the z32.

  • Kennedy Enginnering in Palmdale Calif Google it.

  • Who the hell's Kennedys?

  • It is a Manual Tranny but it's not going to work in a rear drive application. It's made by Mendeola (5 Spd Sequential ) and it's a very expensive piece. I would recommend going with a six speed out of a 370z and having a trans adapter made for it by Kennedys...

  • Is that a manual tranny? I'm considering doing this swap in a 240sx so I need deets!
