Reactions from Muslims to the minaret ban

With banners saying This is not my Switzerland some Swiss took to the street to protest against a ban on minarets approved at the polls. Members of the Muslim community expressed their disappointment and incomprehension. (SF/TSRswissinfo 30.11.2009)

the minaret is not a symbol but a simple architectural element- then whats the big deal . The fact is that the minaret IS a symbol or they wouldnt be so stirrd up over it .it is a symbol of sharia- lsamic rule.

Just dont go around saying you are 'free countries' in Europe, you are just complete hypocrites. Churches with spires are allowed in the U.A.E., one arab country I know of with Kuwait and others.

European governments just need to stop allowing Muslims into their countries. Tighten your borders, keep them out. If your governments refuses, do what we (USA) did and start volunteer border patrols. Keep them out if you don't want them raping and veiling your daughters. Keep them out with all your strength.
