Clare Dillon - Charity Hair Cut 2010

Clare Dillon has had her long hair cut short for charity with the help of Lilija Mirzajeva, an NVQ Level 3 hairdressing student at University College Birmingham.

The 23-year-old, whose hair was down to her hips, watched it fall to the floor as Lilija cut her a fashionable new, shorter style in one of the colleges hair salons.

Shop assistant Clare is donating her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs to children suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment.

She has also raised over £500 from family and friends for the Florence Home Foundation, a charity in India which works with street children and young people.
