I just got back form West Branch two weeks ago when we had that nice string of warm weather. Only got a few over 10 inches. I havent been there in years but remembered catching 14 15 inchers was almost common place if you knew the lake and what you were doing. It's worth noting it was early April when I went up to see my buddies. I'm from Cincy and we have some decent white's at a lot of lakes. East Fork is great, so is ice fishing certain ponds and smaller lakes. Good ice this year!

We are wade fishing here in Texas with a fly rod and haveing very little success, my friend swears by it and he is upset that we have done this 3 years in a row and I have yet to catch anything, (I did get a bite today but was so shocked I had no time to set the hook) Could you do a vid on this type of crappie jigging?

@jurassicsushi I dont live in gorgia but ive been crappie fishin there all my life. In big lakes u dont need crappie lights on a dock to catch em, just fish under any dock that u can find that has a depth of anywhere from 6 to 10 feet with jigs. cast under the dock and let ur jig fall, bounce in off of the bottom a few times then slowly retrieve ur bait and repeat. This is a method of crappie fishing that I have found to be very effective over the years in both lakes and ponds.

@RIGETS14
Try small jerkbaits in open water. Sometimes you have to use the sinking ones. They may not work as well but, its something different.
Thanks for watching and commenting.

I caught one around 10lbs in South Carolina. They get bigger there than they do here in Ohio.
Thanks for watching the show.
