http://www.mda.state.mn.us Farming isn't the only job in agriculture. There's a wide range of agricultural jobs growing in fields of energy. Hear from scientists, plant managers, transportation specialists, lab technicians and others working together to achieve our energy goals?
This video is part of the "Fields of Energy" DVD, a production of Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom. "Fields of Energy" and its 12 segments are an introduction to how agriculture uses science and technology to look for renewable energy and fuel.
Working hard and just taking some classes isn't going to get you a job in the science field now and days...

Good video, but not enough specifics about compensation ranges. Will a lab technician be able to support a family on his/her wage?
If the technician only gets $10 an hour, why spend $20k to $40k on a college degree when they can get the same money managing a Pizza Hut?
In the recession, the days of "I'll enter this career because it's interesting" are over. Students have to know that they can repay the student loans after graduation.
