I think there's alot more parallels with Matrix and B&T. The transportation, the being in two places at the same time, the use of the phonebooth and the saving the world aspect. Ted is one of the Two Great Ones, and Neo is the One. Plus, in Reloaded when he asks the Oracle "What if I fail?", I always like to say, "Then you'll be sent to military school in Alaska." Cracks my husband up every time.
