Javelina Freshman were able to attend a three day camp to bring students together, and teach them leadership, goal setting, time management, and Javelina traditions. It was held at John Newcombe Tennis Ranch & Conference Center in New Braunfels, Texas from August 16th-18th.
180 students attended the event, and were broken down into "packs." Each pack was named after a past president of Texas A & M Kingsville, with pack leaders that are sophomores or higher to lead them.
@nuckdukem1290 There are still "Hoggie Days" for all freshman to attend, this camp was more about giving the students peer support, developing leadership, teamwork, and learning more about the university in general. It was more in-depth then what one would receive through a typical orientation.
