It's always scary when a child commits a crime over an adult...I don't know why. Maybe it's because of the myth all children are innocent little angels? And plus, mary bell was a cute little kid, who would ever suspect her anyway?

@metalqueenofnothing They can learn how to seemingly function in society by copying other people and making it look like they're better, when really they have the same urges as they did when they were a child. Sociopaths have no conscience telling them that it's wrong to kill. It's not necessarily their fault, but when they say that they're "all better," that can't be true, because a person can't simply grow a conscience or learn something that they were born without. It is supposed to be innate

@metalqueenofnothing Let me ask you something. When you were 10, did you think it was wrong to kill a person? Would you find it funny, silly, or even pleasurable to squeeze the life out of someone by asphyxiating them until they died? I didn't think so. That kind of behavior is only found in a few people who are known as sociopaths. They may seem "grown up" and "controlled" later on in life, but in reality they've just learned better techniques to trick people into thinking they're normal.

the baby will be even more screwed up... blame ur screwed up mind on ur parents... so obivusly mary was exposed to awful stressful chemicals and substances inside the womb, and was so stressed when she was born, she became a bad person, but with people like that, when they read about bad stuff like death, they get obsessed and become absolute psycopaths and most likely can never ever ever be cured... so its technically not the sick little girls fault

mary was not born with a sick mind... all babies are absolutely perfect and pure in the womb.... but this is what usually happens to cause babies to become cold hearted killers....

when the mother is pregnant with the baby, and she gets stressed, the baby gets stressed, if she does drugs, the baby does, if she has sex, technically the baby does in some ways... so just by the mother being stressed alot the babe is already screwed up. so if the mom is a ( prostitute when the babe is bore )

Actually children were abused a great deal back then and often ignored by adults. I have read plenty of books by authors who grew up in the 1960s and 70s who were survivors of childhood abuse themselves - I was also a victim amongst many others I know. Children are capable of anything if maltreated, abused, neglected, abandoned and shunned. would your own child be born evil because he or she felt like it?

Clearly you have a good grasp of child psychology. Write about 'informed choice' and the ways in which communities operated in the past as well as criminal psychology. People develop all of the time given informed choices and appropriate adult support, so it is this that needs to be addressed not immature and uninformed prejudices. How can someone think of something rational when they are living in irrational circumstances?

If you know such much about child-development, childhood-trauma then write something of value rather than slain comments. Your ignorance is part and parcel of why it is that such communities fail to acknowledge why it is that children commit crimes.
