Interesting. I haven't played LOOM yet (so I guess this was kind of a spoiler. Phooey), so would you recommend that I play the Amiga version to get the full experience if graphics aren't something I care about?

Good question... although it breaks my heart to say that as I am an Amiga gamers above all, go for the DOS CD-ROM version instead. Only this scene is censored and it doesn't look that much different either, the rest of the game is much more beautiful in 256 colors.
