"Give It To Me" by the J. Geils Band. Yup. The funky, highly dancable beat and the overtly sexually lyrics in "Give It To Me" are influences that will reoccur throughout the canon of disco.

Vince Aletti interviews Michael Gomes (1978):

VA: What was the first disco record?
MG: "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye, simply because it used the formula
that is not in use now, it has a human concern, it was not a soul record, it was
the beginning, at the turn of the Seventies. But before that, there were other records that paved the way, for instance like "Flying" by the Beatles, from Magical Mystery Tour, the overlay of sounds.

VA: A record you can dance to?
MG: "Papa Was a Rolling Stone," is one of the earliest I can remember. "Girl, You
Need a Change of Mind." When I went out dancing, the first record I can
vaguely remember is "Yes I Can Can," by the Pointer Sisters. We danced to a
record by the Giles Band called "Give It to Me" on red vinyl.
