She" just rolled out of the showroom. Excellent shape. You have the cream of the crop anywhere on YouTube WOW!" I sure remember seeing car lots around here loaded with any kind of Aries or Reliant or sibling you could possibly ever want and yours still look new, and yeah they where being driven everywhere!! now their a rare breed but its nice to see them after all these years. Keep any updates or addition's you might have coming and post them you've got a fan who loved them, then as much as yo

I think they would have been more popular if it came with a standard transmission.

I just bought a 1986 Plymouth Reliant K with a 2.5 engine for only $600, only thing wrong with it is the thermostat seems to be bad (even though it was just replaced) so the car tends to over heat, and my winshield is cracked :( Other than that I love this little car! :)

i would to have my 2.2 wagon complely restored, its rough but i love it

That thing looks brand new. I know the K cars got made fun of a lot but they were not such bad little cars.

Wow usually people restore cars from the 50's and 60's, but hardly ever the 80's! Great job. I've always wanted to restore an '86 Lebaron with the wood paneling and everything. I love those 80's cars
This is an exact duplicate of a car I owned in the late 80's (1986). I don't know why people dump on K cars but it was the best care I ever owned. Easy to do regular maintenance, roomy, great gas mileage and fun to drive. And it never failed to start right up (Throttle Body fuel injection) If they sold new now I would buy one in a second. What a great engine that 2.2 was. Thanks for the great trip down memory lane.

@arnvidb no problem :) I don't know why people do..Because there were far worse 80's cars out there such as the yugo, citation, omega ect...I think its mainly non mechanic's...that bash..we had two of the them back in the mid 1990's one ran up to 375,000 miles that one died due to rust, the other one we traded off in 1998. I also got one of the very first K-cars as well..

rust in the rockers, rust in the floors, headliner, dash pad cracked, paint faded, but the little 2.2 ran great, i only paid 150.00 and its got 2,200 dollars worth of new parts, and since its a govenment ordered sedan, it has some rare options, its blue booked at 5,000 dollars on collector car sites
