i like gerry for this reason: he has an opinion, hes not afraid to say it confidently, he doesnt talk down or condescend (sarcasm is something different) AND he backs it up with intelligent logical thought processes. He's a good counterpoint to the bouncing enthusiam and non critical attitudes of some other pro players.

People who go to FNMs are not always there to win. Sometimes they are bringing brews to test out cards and ideas. OR they're inexperienced or are broke and haven't spent the $400 you spent on you're set of 8 Planeswalkers. That doesn't mean they're poor players.

If you're there to win, go to a PTQ and get your butt kicked by good players. I have a feeling you play very "ABC Magic," so don't think you're awesome because you spent the money and won a few games.

That might be the dumbest statement I've ever heard. Granted, net-decks are a bit more tuned, but net-decks comprise a "meta-game." As Icipher7 said, Conley Woods took a brew and won a 900-person Grand Prix. What he did was attack a meta filled with people who net-decked and played stock lists (like you).

Caleb Durward did the same thing for GP Chicago with his UG Madness Survival deck. And the winner of that tournament (Saito) used innovation to shore up his Zoo match-up.

@StreethingX So you're absolutely fantastic because you're incapable of developing original ideas? Conley just took the entire Grand Prix with a "home brew", so if you think you're good just because you netdecked a U/B control deck... you're just an idiot. Besides, good luck playing control in the new format, im sure you're doom blades and gftt's will do a world of good against the new undying creatures.
