yup old skool is da best . i was doing just the same back then , wish i had recorded our crew . but never thought as we all just thought it was life and not like today a chance to get on britains got talent etc . but let me tell ya i teach drama now , im 46 and to get the kids respect i throw a windmill/ flares . yaaaaay cool old man at work

Nice vid! Reminds me of those days. By '85 I had stopped breaking but was reallying into it from 82 to about 84. I bet these kids were housing it up by the 90's right? LOL! That was the progression of things in the good ol NYC :)

Cool video! I had just entered my teen years in the early 80's and I remember how much fun it was during that era of hip hop. I wish we'd recorded some of old living room sessions. lol If you haven't already transferred it to DVD you should!

Todays breakers are far more advanced...however, we laid the foundation for what it is today. The Rock Steady Crew were our heroes of the genre back then. The NYC Breakers also were phenominal dancers. Thanks for the kinds words.

Sorry to say, none of us are in the breakdancing business anymore. But if you check out my site and watch the "The Battle" you will witness me trying to do it one last time against the girls of my nieces gradutating class. Funtimes.
