  • How come you need alot of weight to build your chest for example, but for abs you just do exercises that include NO weight whatsoever? serious question, just wondering. how does it physically work?

  • @pkidro just a shot in the dark here but heavier weight increases muscle mass by creating larger tears in muscle fibers, that why you use heavy weight and low reps

In abdominal exercises its mainly all high reps creating smaller muscle tears but making the area more toned and less bulky

With that being said who would want their abs to come out as far as their chest? not me my friend, not me

  • Abs are NOT made in the kitchen at ALL. Abs are seen through, diet, made through physical activity. Most people try to just diet and some get skinny enough but, do not notice that their abs are too small.

  • @pkidro your abs and calves are stabilizing muscles, your abs are supporters to the lower back, your calves to your legs and so forth, and we use these muscles a lot in our days. so basically they are being trained everyday :)

  • @pkidro ummm, first the goal with abs isn't to get them as big as possible. Abs are mostly made in the kitchen by getting your bodyfat low enough so you can see them. it's more about showing them than growing them. Also different types ofpushups and dips are good ways to build your chest so you don't really need weight if you know what you are doing and are creative

  • @ScottHermanFitness Are you still a model (for MTV)?

  • OK WE GET IT STOP SCREAMING :D

  • @pkidro maybe because you dont press weight with your abs ? And the abs are more like there for stabilisation of your body.

  • @hewy007 that actually makes sense, I found a good routine for my abs that use no weight at all, always sore the next day

  • @pkidro its al true what you say but imagine someone with huge abs with no deffinition. Most people want tight abs with low bodyfat and a big chest. If you train your chest without weight it would grow to, but i will be more defined. And the abs are a other muscle type. There are 3 muscles that work different from the other muscles. The abs, forearms and calves. u use these muscles all day and are more effected by muscle endurance

    Srry for my bad English

  • @pkidro because ur legs and ur upperbody are enough wait
