I like how the reporter is staring at him like..."What the fuck is this?"

@ballekreft Bullsheeeeeeter.

worked out okay for him in the end didn't it

LMFAO this nigga said "Prom-ith-us", damn at least tell your client how to pronounce his prop
-
I gave this an upvote merely because of the title

I really think Simon is making the point that our country needs Bobby Kennedy-who would quote the classics at will, and famously cited Aeschylus the night of the King assassination- instead we get the Clay Davis' of the world who can't even pronounce his name.

sheeeiiiittt!!!

i think he mispronounced prometheus

This works on at least two levels. Between his calling a Titan a 'simple man' and mispronouncing both Prometheus and Aeschylus you might want to interpret it as straight BSing rhetoric. But in Aeschylus' version of the story Prometheus was vital in Zeus' (the 'mayor', if you will) obtaining power and Prometheus has secret knowledge which could be used to bring down Zeus. If you imagine Davis and the mayor both know the play, it's not hard to imagine Clay might be sending a message.

I love the way he mispronounces Prometheus and Aeschylus. You just know he know exactly how they should be pronounced, but it's all part of his shtick.
jesus clay is the coldest smoothest bullshitter ever
