A silent memento- a short animation by Nam Phuong

The animation concept is about a girl coming back her hometown after being away from home for a long time. She realizes that everything changed and the old man who sold her favorite childhood toy is disappearing as well as the whistle clay toy. Even though she was sad but luckily, she still keeps the old toy by her side. I want to create a feeling when the girl remembers about the old man and the whistle, missing, and regret feeling are mixing. Finally how she still appreciate the simple toy and keep it beside for a long time as she knows she will be back home one day.

The poem remind me of the small songs my grandma would sometimes sing. I'm actually glad that I'm able to understand Vietnamese for this.
